July Church Cards

These are the cards that we made at Tuesday night card class. It had been a couple of months again since I went, so it was fun to see familiar faces and make some awesome cards. Thanks ladies for the fun and festivities. Have a terrific Tuesday!

April Card Club (Church)...

I have not been to church cards since October of last year. So, I thought I best be high-tailing it over there and see what is happening. I'm really glad that I did. We made three cards and one was already made for us. Card club has not meet since December, due to bad weather. It was like a surprise to see what we would be making.

I really enjoyed all the cards. Have a great day.

October Card Club

Can you believe another month has flown by? Yep, it was card club night again. I always look forward to going to card club to see how the ladies use their creative juices. We had another great line up.

The creator of this card was Peg. She utilized her Cricut machine to the max for this cute double pocket card. I think she must have cute from sunup to sundown for a month straight. Way to go the extra mile, Peg. You rock! It is so fun to pick out card candy. Don't look to close to my card, cause you will see black ink everywhere, including the twine. Boy, I was having a bad ink day. I guess it is better than having a bad hair day. LOL

The creator of this card was Nancy. I’m not sure of the color of card stock we used but I like the colors together. What a great idea to incorporate flowers. The flowers are very dainty and fragile, so I will have to hand deliver this card. What a lucky recipient.

The creator of this card was Sharon. This card was really fun. For two reasons, the first was I have never used daubers and ink. I really enjoyed it and would like to invest in some. The second reason I really liked this card was because it was a window card. I have never made one of those before. However, I really can’t take a 100% credit, because Sharon already punched the windows out for us. What a nice lady. I also really like the stamp we used. What a great fall barn scene.

The creator of this card was the other Sharon. The Sharon’s are sister-in-laws and so they have the same name. I think that is funny, cause we always have to refer to them as Sharon and the other Sharon. So anyways, we had three different colors to choose from. They were Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Pink (perhaps Pink Pirouette) the new In Colors from SU. So as you can see I choose Kiwi Kiss. First time trying it out. It’s a great color to work with. Once again I got black ink all over my card, so don’t look to close. I had trouble getting the ink to dry on the twill tape, but I did get it on there without to much complication. I really like using Prima flowers on cards they add so much.

The creator of this card was Audrey. I love pumpkins and punches so naturally I love this card. Audrey had already had the small and large oval’s punched out for us. So we just sponged the edges to add dimension and then glued them together. The candy corn strip is from the fall pack of Debbie Mumm paper. Then we tied ribbon on a cute clip. I love these clips. Really cute.
I had a great time once again and I’m already looking forward to next month. Speaking of next month we will be doing the Christmas card exchange, so I better hurry and think up of a card. Have a good day.

Card Club Night

A few months back...like say in March of this year I started going to a local Park Rapids church for card night. So we gather every second Tuesday of the month to make five cards for five dollars. We have a blast at making the cards and time just flies by and then you go home to admire your cards, or at least that's what I do. This month the cards turned out super cute.

The first card we completed was Diane's card. We used one of my favorite stamp sets on this one...Tart and Tangy. Love it! We used velum for the glass. We also used crystal effects for the rimmer. Inside the card is stamped "You brighten my day!" and then you can add a little packet of Crystal Light lemonade, too cute!

The second card we made was for a man's birthday. The designer of this card was Jo and she had a wonderful idea of using paper that resembled wood and then used stamps that contained hammers, screwdrivers and such manly tools. I loved the brads on this one.

The designer of our third card came from a SU Demonstrator, JaNell. What a treat to use some items from the new catalog. New paper Baja Breeze was used with Chocolate Chip and So Saffron. And don't even get me started on the new Scallop Edge Punch. Must have, and ASAP! We also used the new Dreams du Jour set. What a fun card it turned out to be.

The designer of our fourth card was Kathy. I'm not sure if the paper used was from SU, but I loved the combo of the green and brown. The stamped image was colored in using pencils and Gamsol. What a beautiful stamp, so outdoorsy. I will miss Kathy and her wonderful cards. She told us last night that she will be moving back to Iowa. Good luck, girl and we will all miss you!

Our last card is so clever. It is for someone that is retiring and let me tell you, it is sooo cute I would consider retiring. Oh, I forgot...silly me, you have to have a full time job to do that. *wink Well anyhow, the card was made using punches. The paper is really neat, too. It is silver with glitter in the dark stripes. Inside the pocket is pocket watch and the sentiment inside reads "The daily grind has been left behind, Time to kick back and Relax!" Thanks Deb for such a neat card.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed looking at these blurry cards. LOL I sure hope that I get better camera skills soon. I do have to say that this is my first time using cards as props, so I'm going to chuck it up to new kid on the block routine. =)

See you next time. Happy Trails!
